As well as Sonia Hall as the registered manager, Gill Hull as Deputy Manager, Michelle Wallis as a Head of Care, we have 6 Senior Staff and a number of our Staff who are NVQ Level 3 and Level 2 qualified. Several others are in training for their NVQs. All our care staff have to complete our in-house training programme which includes the Protection of Vulnerable Adults, Manual Handling, Infection Control and the Safe Handling of Medicines. There is also a First-Aid person on duty at all times. All our training is constantly being updated to meet the latest requirements and regulations. We are luck to have Theresa Duffin who is our qualified trainer working full time to assist staff to achieve excellent results with training and to complete the Care Certificate. Our Activities Coordinator, Brenda Worth, organises personal centred activities to suit each of our residents.

Gill Hull has been with Oaklands for over 10 years. Gill has progressed her career starting as a care assistant, activities coordinator, senior carer, personal assistant, manager assistant and now Gill holds a well deserved post of Deputy Manager. Gill has previously completed her NVQ 2 and 3 and in May 2018 Gill completed her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services - Adults' Residential Management. Gill has an excellent approach to work, with lots of enthusiasm and a very positive attitude.
